Teacher, pianist and studio host on Utrecht’s Oudegracht.

Teacher bio

Elise Vermeer

Elise gained her Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She later completed a postgraduate performance diploma at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

She is an inspiring piano teacher and an active soloist and chamber musician. With more than fifteen years of teaching experience, she enjoys introducing the art of piano playing to early beginners — successfully from age four — and feels equally passionate about adult students and advanced players.

Before settling in Utrecht, Elise taught in Edinburgh and prepared students for ABRSM and Trinity exams with results of merit and distinction. At Pianostudio Kade she now teaches a steady circle of private students in Dutch and English.

— Jasper

“I arrived with no note-reading at all. In a short time Elise taught me the basics. We mix classical and pop, and she is open to pieces I suggest.”

— Bas
